We were asked to share the following message with our members. As you might know, the MCSA is a member of the UIAA, and thus we are all members of that international federation. A lot of good work is being done under that umbrella, and we’ll do our best to keep you updated on that side of things. Before it was a bit of a question of how, but we’re trying something new with turning it into a post on our website. This space is a bit underused to we’re trying to see if this is a good way forward.

On behalf of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA), I would like to sincerely thank you for your 2026 membership payment. Your continued support is essential in helping us advance our mission and to promote climbing and mountaineering worldwide. The UIAA’s strategic focus is structured around seven key priorities Thanks to your contribution, we’ve made meaningful progress on a number key initiatives: Key UIAA Initiatives: UIAA Declaration: Global reach of the UIAA Declaration Sustainability: Report from latest UIAA Climate Change Summit; and Commitment to International Year of Glacier Preservation Latest on rock climbing, training and youth activities and future progress. And here is my report on the UIAA’s activities in 2025 as addressed to delegates at the General Assembly in Kosovo. Please also enjoy our revamped Annual Report. The next UIAA GA will take place in Kathmandu, Nepal in October 29 to 1 November 2026 and hosted by the Nepal Mountaineering Association. Once again, we truly appreciate your ongoing commitment to the UIAA and the international climbing community. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
